Hi to all u CECOSTOMY'S out there!! I am a mother of a 16 yr old boy and
what a fab boy he is. My son has had his tube for 7 years ,although this
has been fantastic and changed his life its been very hard for him to cope
with emotions ,as he has kept this hidden frm all his freinds this has been
his decision. He has slowly gone frm 7 days a wk washouts to 3 to 2, then
none and just taking Movacol which has wrked he takes one every day and
goes to the loo everyday YIPPEE!! This has gone on for 6 months. We had a
visit at RVI newcastle and yes guess wot ?? Wot we thought wud b for yrs to
cum .... YES the our friend the Cecostomy tube is leaving us..... Thers is
hope u guys,there so is, we are so happy .... but we r so happy to have had
the chance to have had the C/TUBE as it has been the best thing for my son
as his life wud have been bad without it. This will never be forgotten this
part of our lives and thoughts will be with others who have the C/T....
